Equipment on Ambulance
Our emergency ambulances are equipped with the following:
Emergency
- Automatic external defibrillator or AED (DefibTech or Primedic).
- Self-inflating resuscitation bag & its accessories.
- Minimum 3 portable 10-L aluminum oxygen cylinders on board with oxygen regulators to deliver the oxygen at up to 15 L of oxygen per minute.
- One addtional 2.8-L oxygen cylinder for portability, especially when transferring paitents to and from the ambulance.
First Aid
- Standard ambulance automatic loading stretcher, scoop stretcher, 2-or 4-fold stretcher, & stair-chair for evacuation purposes.
- Long spinal board or spinal canvas, head immobilizer, short spinal board and cervical collars.
- Standard first aid bag with first aid equipment
Medical Equipment
- Goldway 4000A (a subsidiary of Philips) physiologic monitor with printer to monitor blood pressure non-invasively, electrocardiogram (ECG), and oxygen saturation in the arterial blood (by Nellcor finger probe).
- Non-contact thermometer (ThermoFlash™).
- Glucometer (Bayer Contour®).
- Anaesthetic grade suction apparatus (displace ≈ 25 L air/min).
Medicines
- Nitroglycerine spray for patients with ischaemic heart disease; salbutamol inhaler for patients with bronchial asthma.
- Over-the-counter medications (e.g., Panadol, Robitussin cough syrup, lozenges, calamine lotion, etc.).
Disposables
- Disinfectant solutions or wipes for hands and/or medical equipment.
- Disposable paper towel dispenser, paper towels & airsickness bags.
- N95 masks, gloves and gown for personal protection.
Other
- Laser examination torch light.
- 220V AC power supply on board to power medical equipment.
- Fire Extinguisher
- Global Positioning System (GPS) Monitoring System
Note: There are no intravenous drip set or fluid on board because our medics are not allowed to perform invasive procedures according to insurance regulations.

Ambulance Manpower
Standard ambulance personnel consists of one driver and one medic, both are certified withAdvance First Aid (Emergency Medical Technician – Basic) qualification and BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support).
