Our medics are required to undergo Standard First Aid and Basic Cardiac Life Support + AED Training. Their credentials can be verified with the training school.
At Ambulance Medical Service, we believe in providing nothing less than excellent pre-hospital emergency care to our patients. Our drivers and medics must go through:
- Standard first aid courses
- Advanced first aid courses
- Basic cardiac life support courses (AED + CPR)
Ambulances are generally manned by one medic and one driver. Both of them have been trained so that at event standby, you can have two qualified first-aiders on site.
The courses are conducted by medic training school Emergencies First Aid & Rescue (EFAR) Pte Ltd located at IMM Building, supervised by ex-Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedics. The course is accredited by Singapore Sports Council (SSC), Ministry of Community Development, Sports & Youth and (MYCS) the National Resuscitation Council (NRC). Verification of our staff’s qualifications can be obtained from EFAR directly.
Details of the courses can be obtained at www.scdf.gov.sg
