<li><strong>Passerby CPR Knowledge</strong>.  AED is but one of the 4  rings that complete pre-hospital resuscitation process.  Passerby CPR  knowledge is important.  Without that, chance of survival is very low  even in the presence of a functioning AED.</li>
<li><strong>Battery Function</strong>.  AED is used only when you  need it unexpectedly.  Most of the time it is left unnoticed at one  corner.  The battery may be weak or non-functional when in times of  need.  Good battery function is critical.</li>
<li><strong>Signs</strong>.  Proper signs to lead the rescuers to an AED are very important.</li>
<li><strong>Algorithm (Usage Instructions) on AED</strong>.  Simple  yet detailed steps in passerby CPR provided by AED are critical in  saving life.  An AED that only give instruction to providing electrical  shocks do not serve an institution well.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When providing oxygen therapy, it is important to note the following:</p>
<p><strong>1.	The oxygen flow rate prescribed by the physician for the patient.</strong></p>
<p>The oxygen output of commonly used oxygen concentrator is about 80 to  90% of oxygen at 3 to 5 liters per minute. If the patient requires more  than 5 litres of oxygen per minute, or if the patient requires 100%  oxygen, the oxygen concentrator is not a good choice for this patient.<br />
<strong>2.	Does the patient require nebulizer for medication administration?</strong></p>
<p>In medicine, a nebulizer is a device used to administer medication to  people in the form of a mist inhaled into the lungs. It is commonly  used in treating asthma and other respiratory diseases. In the hospital,  the most commonly used is the jet nebulizer. A jet nebulizer is  connected by tubing to a compressed oxygen source (e.g. oxygen cylinder)  that causes oxygen to blast at high velocity through a liquid medicine  to turn it into an aerosol, which is then inhaled by the patient. In  general, a compressed oxygen source (e.g. oxygen cylinder) is required  for the proper functioning of a nebulizer. The oxygen concentrator  cannot replace the oxygen cylinder for proper functioning of a  nebulizer.</p>
<p><strong>3.	The duration of oxygen supply required by the patient.</strong></p>
<p>It is easier to use an oxygen concentrator compared to oxygen  cylinder. An oxygen concentrator can be used 24 hours a day, 7 days a  week. It is a work horse that almost never fails to produce desirable  amount of oxygen as long as there is electricity supply. In contrast,  one has to constantly check the pressure of compressed oxygen in an  oxygen cylinder; when the pressure falls below a critical level, the  supply of oxygen stops. One has to put in more effort to use oxygen  cylinder compared to oxygen concentrator. There is always a risk of  running out of oxygen supply, especially at night.</p>
<p><strong>4. Cost.</strong></p>
<p>The running cost of an oxygen concentrator is cheaper compared to  oxygen cylinder. The main running cost of oxygen concentrator is the  electricity costs. The running costs of using oxygen cylinder are  refilling of oxygen, the transport and the manpower.</p>
